Rachelle + Mitchell- Cherry Avenue Farms- Wedding Photography
Rachelle and Mitchell were married on a rainy summer day in July. Despite the pandemic they were proceeding with getting married and were willing to work around the health guidelines and restrictions put in place. They were allowed to have 30% of their church's capacity, which allowed for 75 of their close family and friends to witness their wedding ceremony. The ceremony was heartfelt and joyful with lots of laughter and deep connections to their strong faith. Following the ceremony the minister dismissed guests in family groupings one by one to say their congratulations to the bride and groom. Rachelle and Mitchell greeted each of their guests and sent them away with a prepackaged selection of baked goods to show their thanks for them sharing in their special day.
Once the guests had all left the church we headed to the beautiful Cherry Avenue Farms for family and bridal party photos. The grounds here are picture perfect and the rain cleared for us just as we were leaving the church. Following photos they were having an intimate dinner at home with family.
It was so refreshing to document this day. The pandemic put the focus back on what matters most on a wedding day, the exchanging of vows and the commitment being made by two people in love. I think the most memorable photos from the day will be the ones of Rachelle and Mitchell wearing custom made masks from the groom's mom. They will be able to look back and remember the pandemic, explaining to future generations how different things were but that despite it all they prioritized their love and kept their wedding date.
