The Wed Series- Vanessa + Ryan- Micro Wedding Packages
In November of 2020 we had the opportunity to participate in our first micro wedding experience with the Vineyard Bride Wed Series. The day was intimate and full of joy. We loved it so much we decided to add a micro wedding package offering to our wedding day collections.
Vanessa + Ryan were one of the couples who were married this day and took advantage of the last time slot of the day, having a candlelit ceremony after dark. It was so romantic and a one of a kind experience for their guests. Their ceremony was followed by a beautiful dinner reception in the wineries retail area.
All the classic elements of a winery wedding were there, rustic decor, harvest tables, and great food and wine pairings. With the way that the pandemic has changed the wedding and events industry seeing this small wedding come together so perfectly and be enjoyed by all was a bright light in our year. We are looking forward to being able to document many more weddings like this one and hope that the micro wedding trend is hear to stay!
What is a micro wedding?
Micro weddings were trending before the pandemic started but quickly gained popularity when the event restrictions made them a clear fit for couples planning. A micro wedding is typically defined by the number of guests, with guest counts of 50 people or less. They can take place in just a few hours or over the course of the day, and are smaller scale than traditional weddings, but still include the important moments, such as the first dance and cake cutting.
Is a micro wedding package right for me?
If you are currently planning a micro wedding and value quality photography then yes! We made this package to accommodate couples who may need less photo coverage but still want to ensure they have high quality and timeless imagery of their day. These images from Vanessa + Ryan’s wedding were all captured in a 90 minute time frame!
Weddings come in all sizes and are meant to be unique to each couple. That’s part of what we love about them. It has been nice to have a reason to focus on smaller and more intimate weddings recently and truly be in the moment every part of the day. They are a slower paced event with an emphasis on being present and soaking in the emotions of the day with those closest to you.
Being invited in to any wedding day is always a privilege but being apart of something that only your closest friends and family experience is that little bit more special. We don’t take it for granted and cannot wait to document your day!
