How to Preserve and Enjoy Your Wedding Day Images
The day has come and gone and you have an online gallery full of beautiful wedding day images. Now what?
We all know that technology is ever changing. If you think about it you may already have images from your past saved in formats that are difficult or impossible to read and access on today's modern computer. Even CD's with images are becoming harder to read. Most laptops and computers today no longer have CD drives. Don't let this happen to your wedding images.
Print to Preserve
We are huge advocates of printing to preserve your memories!
What's important to consider here is that not all printing services are alike. You have professional and consumer grade labs. The professional labs we work with use archival quality papers and methods to create prints and products that will last for generations. Their systems are colour calibrated to ours and will print your photos with true to life colours exactly as they appear in your digital files.
We recommend printing your favourite images from each part of your wedding day as 4x6 or 5x7 prints so that you have easy access to them. Our favourite way to store these for safe keeping and in a way that looks nice in your home is in our custom linen print boxes.
Storytelling with Wedding Albums
Another way to print to preserve is with wedding albums. Not only do wedding albums preserve your memories, but, they also tell your story. When we document your wedding day we photograph with this in mind. We want to tell your story and have images that will add to your album and best represent all aspects of your day.
We offer handmade, archival quality albums that are made locally in Ontario. We have a system in place to help design a custom wedding album that allows you to easily make changes and submit requests for your design. We love these albums so much we made the very same one for ourselves after our own wedding. We have it displayed in our living room for easy access to these beautiful memories.
Another great use for albums is as a thank you gift for your parents after the wedding. They often play a huge role in your wedding planning and offer alot of support. Their very own album of the day is the perfect keepsake, one that they will be happy to have and proud to share with their friends and family!
Wall Art
Another popular way to display your images in print is on the walls of your home.
You can have your prints matted and framed or printed on canvas. We will work with you to create beautiful large stand alone pieces or co-ordinated groupings that will be statement pieces in your home.
Don't let your photos sit on your computer or USB for the rest of time. If you are in the stages of planning your wedding, factor this into your photography budget and start having a conversation with your photographer about how you want to preserve and print your images.
If you are already married and haven't yet printed your images, reach out and let's create something for you! This can make a great anniversary or birthday gift for your partner and if your stuck on what exactly it is that they may want we always have gift certificates available.
Send us an email or book a call and let's discuss creating something just for you!
